It became clear as early as 2022 that the three-year-long investigation against the Historical Park had been concluded. The case was initiated by the newspaper Capital through numerous defamatory articles and following reports by BSP MP Georgi Andreev. Together with Capital, he created an organised criminal group intending to extort Ivelin Mihaylov and the “Historical Park” project.
It turns out that, in the course of that investigation, at a time when Borisov and Peevski had not yet interfered to influence the prosecution, a ruling was made that completely exonerated the Historical Park and the people building it. Not only were they cleared, but the ruling also demonstrated their good faith and excellent work conduct.
This raises the question: what changed after 2022 that led to the same old narrative being repeated “with a new voice,” despite the case having been closed and the prosecution’s unequivocal conclusion?
What was done to the detriment of the state? What so strongly shook the political and public life of our country that, despite this clear conclusion, in 2024, a parliamentary committee was set up against the Historical Park?
This is yet another proof of the repression against private property, the right to free enterprise, and good deeds in Bulgaria. Borisov, Peevski, and Prokopiev are afraid of people who prove that they can, because then the whole nation will realise just how much they cannot.
