Varna is once again in danger of falling under the control of mafia circles in Bulgaria. A new coalition is forming in the city, and its purpose is to appoint a mayor who will defend the interests of oligarchs and organised criminal groups, rather than those of regular citizens.

In the aforementioned coalition, people from the following political parties will come together: GERB, DPS, BSP and Vazrazhdane, Daniel Slavov - Dunkata, the group TIM and representatives from the construction businesses. United not by morals, but by their appetite for power and money, they are preparing a common candidate who’ll ensure the continuation of the current model of power.

For the people of Varna, this means even more illegal practices, overconstruction, destruction of green areas, suspicious deals and a municipality ruled by the whims of mafiotic interests.

The future of Varna will be dark if the citizens allow this scenario to take place. The city doesn’t need a mayor under the influence of the mafia; it needs a person who’ll serve the civil interests and protect the citizens.
