Lawyer Rastashki, who is an MP from the MECH party, circulated a video in which he claims that in the accounts of lawyer Anatoli Savov, the long-time legal representative of the Historical Park and its largest shareholder, there were “21 million leva” with which the “injured” investors could get their money back if they constituted themselves as victims in the pre-trial proceedings. Presented this way, the suggestion looks like a rescue plan. In reality, it is a dangerous manipulation that can cause serious harm to honest investors.

In recent days, it became clear that the chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Anton Slavchev, in an informal conversation called Ivelin Mihaylov a “fraudster” and the creator of a “50-million pyramid scheme.” This raises the question: why does a person in such a position allow himself to make such accusations while he himself remains in the shadow of serious suspicions of misconduct?

The political party “Velichie”, represented in the 51st National Assembly, has expressed in a statement to the media its concern over systematic institutional pressure and political persecution to which it claims to be subjected.

Provoked by Borisov’s remarks, the diplomatic mission sent an official statement to the media “in response to recent statements by Mr Boyko Borisov, chairman of the GERB party and member of the Bulgarian National Assembly, regarding his talks with former UK Foreign Secretary Lord David Cameron (2023-2024) on the issue of sanctions.”
