Temenuzhka Petkova poured 4 billion into the BDB – a gift for the oligarchs

The official role of this bank is to support small and medium-sized businesses in Bulgaria – the real engines of the economy, which are struggling to survive in conditions of crisis, high taxes and lack of state support. Instead, the BDB has become a cash cow for the ruling mafia, granting millions to companies close to Borisov and Peevski.

A new theft of the staggering sum of 4 billion leva is taking shape under the leadership of Temenuzhka Petkova, who allocated the funds to the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB).

The most striking example is the 75 million leva loan granted to SG Group, a company close to Delyan Peevski. The company's activities are more than questionable. It is involved in collecting overdue debts from ordinary Bulgarians. This means that instead of helping companies that could recover and preserve thousands of jobs, the state bank is financing a company that profits from people's poverty and debts.

Instead of providing relief to Bulgarian businesses, which are closing their doors every day due to difficult conditions, the funds are being directed to structures linked to the government and the oligarchy. This is further proof that the BDB is being used as a tool to drain state resources rather than to develop the economy.

The BDB was supposed to be a source of hope for small businesses, but it has become an ATM for the oligarchs. Every lev given to companies close to the government is an opportunity stolen from honest entrepreneurs. And without them, there are no jobs, no bread, no future.
