The government will cement itself under the fear of Boyko Borissov's scarecrow - "Vazrazhdane".

Such a protest would have made sense if it had been on the day the National Assembly discussed whether to hold a referendum on the euro.

Since many of you are asking for my opinion on today's events, I will share it with you, although some of you may be disappointed:

  • As a lawyer, I absolutely cannot condone hooliganism and the destruction of public property.

  • As a citizen, I cannot accept that protesting in front of empty buildings, throwing paint and eggs, and setting fires has any effect. Tomorrow, the sanitation workers—whose salaries come from our taxes—will have to clean it all up. Such a protest would have made sense if it had taken place on the day Parliament was discussing whether to hold a referendum on the euro. Back then, Vazrazhdane didn’t even gather a crowd in front of Parliament.

  • As a politician, I will tell you that this protest has two goals:

    1. To polish the rusted image of Kostadinov and Vazrazhdane after their harsh words and attitude toward livestock farmers and the culling of animals, as well as their inexplicable fury and hatred toward Velichie to the point of madness. Now people will fool themselves into thinking that throwing paint, eggs, and setting fires equals real opposition. It does not.
    2. This will only cement the government’s position under the fear of Vazrazhdane. That is Borissov’s goal—he waves the KK scarecrow and governs calmly while simultaneously convincing Brussels that only he can stop the excesses and “hooligans” here.
  • I want to ask those who were there because of the lev: Did you not feel used? Did you hear anything from the MIR party, which also participated? Did you hear about Rosen Milenov? I think I even saw Madlen Kircheva among the people. On Vazrazhdane’s pages, in their groups, and the media, only Vazrazhdane is mentioned. You just boosted their ratings. The vandalism will have no effect—or rather, the opposite of what you expect.

  • And finally, as an Orthodox Christian, I will say that today is a day to honour the dead—Zadushnitsa. A day for humility, to pray for our departed loved ones, and to pray to God for both the deceased and the living. To remember those who are no longer among us. On this day, you don’t wash, clean, or work. A protest involving violence and crude vandalism isn’t just what you see—it is a satanic symbol, occultism. Not everyone knows this, but on this exact day, such an act is marked by evil.

Since it is such a day, I will not comment further. I understand those who were happy and present at the protest—they are the idealists. The problem is, I know the opportunists and manipulators who ride on the backs of these people, craving power and money, and they get it.

God protect us!
