Ivelin Mihaylov: In Bulgaria, there is a caste of government officials without obligations

"Let us amend the Constitution and say that in Bulgaria there are two castes—one is the caste of the rulers, who have one hundred percent rights and zero obligations, and the other is the caste of ordinary citizens, who have one hundred percent obligations and zero percent rights."

Two ministries conflict. This is the reason there is a lack of equipment for extinguishing fires.

That is the claim made in a declaration by the chairman of the political party Velichie, Ivelin Mihaylov.

He pointed out that many Bulgarian citizens are asking the same questions, which remain unanswered. Among them are why irrigation systems are not being built, why the Minister of Environment and Water says, "Stop watering your tomatoes and gardens," and why the reservoirs are not maintained. The MP added that the responses are always that "the situation is complex" and "repairs are complicated."

Mihaylov commented that the same explanation is given by those in power for many other questions, such as why the salary increase for young doctors is delayed and why the issues with landfills and illegal construction are not being addressed.

"Let us amend the Constitution and say that in Bulgaria there are two castes—one is the caste of the rulers, who have one hundred percent rights and zero obligations, and the other is the caste of ordinary citizens, who have one hundred percent obligations and zero percent rights," the MP remarked with bitter irony.
