The case of the thousands of illegal landfills in Bulgaria, which the political party "Velichie" has been drawing attention to for months, has finally been noticed by the European Commission. This became clear from the words of the chairman of the party's parliamentary group, Ivelin Mihaylov, who, in a video on YouTube, commented on the EC’s responses. According to them, the West finds it hard to believe that what is described in thousands of pages of evidence could exist in a lawful European state, but they will take action once they are certain.
Mihaylov reminded that 7 parties in the National Assembly signed the no-confidence motion submitted by "Velichie" over the environmental catastrophe, and 11 out of 12 parties (including the ruling ones) have stated that the problem is indeed serious.
The MP pointed out that when the admissions of guilt from the ruling parties are sent as evidence to Brussels, they will have to find a way to disprove their own words.
"From now on, there is no turning back. The trap has snapped shut. The pigs have met their match. Along with them, so have the other parties. It’s clear that ‘Velichie’ saw this through to the end. I’m grateful that we have such a weak opponent," he further commented.
