First, I want to say that I am now 100% certain, we are heading toward elections. The rhetoric in the National Assembly has turned into pre-election campaigning once again. The lies and smear campaigns we witnessed in the previous parliament have resumed. It was the same from the very beginning, when we first entered parliament.
There was a period of calm. Why? Because they didn’t want our words to be heard. But now, once again, we’re seeing how the National Assembly has lost its weight as an institution that should be a temple of truth and honest information, spoken to reach the Bulgarian people.
And what’s happening? Today, for yet another time, we witnessed crude propaganda from GERB and "Vazrazhdane" (Revival).
We often hear online talk about troll factories. Well, here we see a live troll factory - taking words out of context and quoting them from the parliamentary podium, clearly just to cut them out and post them on TikTok. But what they say is not true.
The first thing that MP Shishkov said, I don’t know his first name, was a clip from one of my videos, in which I said that at least in Rakovski, they are Catholics. I’m aware that Catholic and Protestant communities tend to be slightly more consolidated, more devout, and adhere more strictly to the Bible and its teachings. One of the mortal sins is slander.
And since Shishkov is Catholic and from Rakovski, and he slanders, my appeal was to the Catholic community: talk to him and ask him to stop this behaviour, because it tarnishes the entire community.
Then I remembered that Kostadinov also claims to be Orthodox, just like me, yet lies twice as much. So I apologised. I said, "Apologies, we, the Orthodox, lie twice as much." This was in the same video.
But Shishkov stood at the podium and tried to incite religious hatred by claiming that I had insulted Catholics. I just told you the context, the statement ended with the point that if Kostadinov is Orthodox and we tolerate him, then we are twice the liars.
I wasn’t insulting Catholics - on the contrary, I was lifting them in a religious sense.
Then an MP from "Vazrazhdane" immediately came out, clearly in sync with GERB, even though unaware GERB would make a similar declaration, and supported everything they said. We’re seeing the synchronicity between GERB and "Vazrazhdane" - something long observed, but now completely obvious.
It seems likely that in the second or third future government, the third coalition partner of GERB and DPS will be none other than "Vazrazhdane." We also see zero response from the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BABH) and other authorities responsible for the sheep that were buried somewhere near Plovdiv.
If someone thinks I’m exaggerating, I’ll show you what’s coming out of the ground - it’s blood. Near the water source of the village… Yes, you can see it. Since they were buried improperly, in the wrong location, on higher ground, they are contaminating the water source in the villages. We raise ecological issues, but no one listens. It’s as if we’re pigs, expected to live peacefully in a pigsty because we tolerate the filth.
The village is either Shishkovo or Tatarevo, I think. Yesterday, we saw a video showing the disposal of sheep in a way that violates all hygiene and health regulations. Right next to a health spring that locals use as a tourist attraction and for healing. And next to it is a local chapel.
And BABH, without even sending a single inspector, gives instructions on where to bury the animals. Or maybe, in Bulgaria now, we can just dig graves in downtown Sofia. If that’s how it’s going to be, let’s do it with cows, something bigger, to match the scale.
Everything happening in this country is a paradox. And one more update from yesterday, we received a reply from the European Commission’s environmental department. They’re requesting specific data on all the illegal dumpsites we’ve discovered. The people at the commission couldn’t believe it. They asked if these sites were truly illegal or if there was just a problem with waste disposal.
We told them they are illegal. They were shocked by the scale of the environmental catastrophe. They gave us forms and said they would start procedures to bring justice to Bulgaria. On the question: "Do you feel like a pyramid, as Kostadinov accused you?"
Well, this is something the people I work with, my supporters, need to finally speak up about.
If someone accuses me every day of raping my wife, whether my former or current, or one of 365, and she stays silent, it looks like I actually did it.
So it’s time that responsibility be taken for the reputational damage to me, to private property, and entrepreneurial activity.
If they don’t want to speak up, someone should come out and file a lawsuit against me. If I am a pyramid, let me face the consequences.
But I’ll tell you something, there’s no country in the EU or the US where such blatant lies would be allowed to spread about a major investment or a joint-stock company like they are here. From the podium, they said I’ve stolen 1,160 properties. I showed documents - zero in my name, zero in my wife’s name. What more do I need to show for a single media outlet to say that lies are being spread from the parliamentary podium? Just imagine if I posted news every day saying the food in "Billa" is poisonous, within months, Billa would go bankrupt. They’d sue me. I’d be arrested. But for two years now, they’ve been talking about pyramids and pharaohs constantly, and from people who are stealing from government funds.
Right now, they’re discussing a budget in the National Assembly that only steals. You see the asphalt - people are pulling it off the ground by hand. Nothing surprises us anymore. We are a country of absurdities. And instead of Kostadinov saying, "Let’s put an end to the theft," they’re debating whether the asphalt should be 7 or 8 cm. In the end, it’ll still be 1 cm, just as they’ve always laid it. This is the legitimisation of the current regime. "Vazrazhdane" have evolved. They’ve become a European party. They’ve joined the Euro-Atlanticists - Borisov and Peevski.
And you periodically accuse them, will you seek support from them for future votes? Will you partner with them? I think some of the upcoming votes will be initiated by PP-DB or MECH before we get to ours. And Boyko Borisov already told you - he’s ready to “count who’s who.”
He also said they’ve done their job. He was very thorough. You could hire linguists to dissect his words. He also said they’re trying to buy up our debt, like a group that buys quick loans to seize property. They are building the state in such a way as to accumulate even more debt and buy everything, leaving nothing for the people. We are “low-intelligence sheep” according to those in power.
That’s what Nidal Algafari, Borisov, and the “chemist banker” from Unicredit - what was his name? Levon Hampartzoumian? -And others like him said. They said the people are worthless.
We “appreciated” that statement. The only thing left is to engrave it on our foreheads -“We are sheep.” They want our property.
Thank you very much!
-Ivelin Mihaylov, MP from the party “Velichie”
