On February 24, 2025, a newspaper called "Uchitelsko delo" published an interview with Tsanko Kolev, the head of the Student Recreation Department at "Historical Park".

The main topic of the interview is the opportunities for educational programs and student visits provided by the park, which are directed to strengthening national self-awareness and love for Bulgaria among young people.

On the 5th of March 2025, the OFFNews.bg media published an article ", The newspaper of the teachers glorifies "Historical Park" after receiving the blessing of Yanka Takeva".

Their article is an attempt at politicisation of the topic by unreasonably connecting the name of the political party "Velichie", thus suggesting that the initiatives of "Historical Park" have a political character. In response to these allegations, representatives of "Historical Park" and the "Vazdigane" Foundation express their disagreement with the fact that their activities are being politicised.

They emphasised that their main goal is providing development opportunities for the children, to encourage them in the pursuit of their dreams, to be patriots and to lead fulfilling lives. Any attempts to discredit such patriotic initiatives are baseless and harmful to their efforts to contribute to the development of the youngest members of society - the children.

"On the one hand, we talk about children`s addiction to electronic devices, about illiteracy increasing, about drug and crime problems among young people. On the other hand, when a place that inspires and teaches them values, such as "Historical Park", exists, there are constant attacks against it," the park management said.

"Historical Park" and "Vazdigane" Foundation announced that they will take legal action against OFFNews.bg, the author of the article, and against anyone who tries to politicise their activities. They emphasised that "Historical Park" is a joint-stock company that carries out public benefit activities, and the attempts to discredit it violate the principles of free entrepreneurship and cultural development.

The "Vazdigane" Foundation added that it is unacceptable for their positive initiatives for the children of Bulgaria to be vilified for political purposes. They will continue their work for the promotion of Bulgarian history through children's historical tales, building monuments, creating paintings, and other cultural projects that foster a love for Bulgaria in the younger generation.
