Silistra Province is home to the Srebarna Biosphere Reserve, located just 16 kilometres from the provincial capital. One version of the reserve's name refers to the breathtaking view of the lake under moonlight. But beyond its stunning silvery waters, the reserve lies directly along the Via Pontica – one of the main migratory routes for birds travelling between Europe and Africa.

Fraud worth millions of euros is taking place on the northern Black Sea coast near Bulgaria’s maritime capital, Varna. An investigation by the team at Svoboden Glas (“Free Voice”) reveals that our country has been defrauded of more than €120,000,000 due to the brazen actions of several institutions and a specific criminal scheme that is destroying both private and state property in Bulgaria.

The chairman of the parliamentary group of the “Velichie” party in the 51st National Assembly – Ivelin Mihaylov – presented the Historical Park site, which had been referred to as a “dump” by representatives of the “Vazrazhdane” party during speeches in the plenary hall.

Despite attempts to belittle and ridicule it, the fourth vote of no confidence against the “Zhelyazkov” cabinet turned out to be the most successful one so far.
