The first Bulgarian F-16 fighter jet may have encountered a malfunction. This information was shared in a video on social media by Ivelin Mihaylov, a member of the National Assembly from the political party "Greatness" (Velichie). He mentioned that the delivery time for a new aircraft is 18 months. He humorously suggested that Bulgaria would first need to receive the second fighter jet to transfer its parts to the first one, which is currently used for training.
Mihaylov highlighted that no one in the National Assembly has discussed the issue, and it has gone largely unnoticed in the national media. Instead, the parties "Vazrazhdane" and PP-DB are focused on other topics to debate.
