In the most-watched time of the national broadcast, Nova TV aired another commissioned report aimed against the party “Velichie” and the Historical Park. Within just 7 minutes, over 20 manipulative insinuations were poured out, clearly showing the role of the media as a cudgel of the mafia government.

Slanders against Albena Pekova

One of the main “news items” in the report was the claim that the chairwoman of “Velichie,” Albena Pekova, had taken out loans worth 180 thousand leva and does not own any property. This insinuation is completely false.

In an interview with “Svoboden Glas”, Pekova stated clearly: The sum was borrowed to buy a house and renovate it. The property is listed in her declaration, which means the information is public and accessible. The reporters of Nova TV could not have been unaware of this; therefore, it is a case of deliberate slander.

Lies against “Zadruzhno” Ltd.

Another blatant example of manipulation was directed at the company “Zadruzhno” Ltd., owned by Yordanka Savova. On air, it was insinuated that the company has “huge obligations” to the National Revenue Agency (NRA). The reality is completely different.

After an inspection, it was established that the company does not have such obligations. A revision act had been imposed, which was appealed and annulled as invalid. Subsequently, a new audit began, which again is a clear signal of targeted repression by the authorities against the inconvenient and genuine opposition.

Media in the service of power

Instead of seeking the truth and defending justice, Nova Television chose the convenient role of a tool of the ruling mafia. Through a series of insinuations, manipulations, and slanders, it served political interests and tried to strike the only authentic opposition.

The truth cannot be hidden.

The attacks against “Velichie” and the Historical Park continue, but every lie crumbles against the facts. The truth is clear – the report is commissioned and targeted. And the people are increasingly realising that media manipulations are part of a larger scheme to suffocate free speech and destroy honest business.
